To our CKACS Community,
It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Mr. Seth Atamian, a former principal and longtime supporter of our Armenian Community School.
Seth was a longtime educator and award-winning principal in the Fresno Unified School District. He began his association with the Armenian Community School of Fresno as a member of the educational steering committee and with the departure of former principal Assadour Assadourian, Seth assumed the role of interim principal. He was so admired by the faculty, staff, parents, and students that the board soon convinced him to assume the role of principal. As a new member of the Armenian Community School family, Seth brought a wealth of knowledge, connections, and energy to our school. He helped to set up a computer lab, organized camping trips to the Regional Learning Center in the Sierras, field trips to Sonora, the Hershey Chocolate Factory, and a memorable trip to Armenia for the graduating class of 2001. He was a mentor to many of the young student teachers as well as Rosie Bedrosian, who succeeded him as principal in his retirement and is now the vice chairwoman of our current board of education.
His dedication and passion for education will be remembered and cherished by all. We extend our heartfelt condolences to his family and loved ones during this difficult time. May God Bless the memory of our beloved past principal.

Sincerely,

The Board of Education and Administration. https://www.dignitymemorial.com/obituaries/fresno-ca/seth-atamian-11118334
