Women’s League

The Women's League of the Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School is an auxiliary organization that unites women from all segments of the community who are interested in both education and Armenian culture, and sponsors events and activities that financially benefit our school.

The Women's League was founded on July 19, 1977 by the following community leaders:
Marian Bagdasarian
Katherine Bedrosian
Anoush Chamlian
Lilyan Chooljian
Lucille Gahvejian
Lucille Pilibos

Members may join at three levels:
Active - $25.
Associate - $50.
Benefactor - $100.

If interested in membership or for any questions, please contact: principal@ckacs.org or call the school at (559) 323-1955.

A recent project is the publication of the "Heritage Cookbook", which highlights various excellent cooks in our community who gave of their time and talents when the Women's League sponsored Armenian cooking classes. Their written recipes are published in the cookbook and actual demonstration of their techniques are captured on DVDs which accompany the cookbook.

The Women's League has also spearheaded a drive to get children's books for the new library and assist in story reading hours and staffing of the library.
