Marshall D. Moushigian (Attorney) - Chairman

  • Born and raised in Fresno, California.
  • Received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Real Estate and Urban Land Economics, and a Minor in Armenian Studies, from California State University, Fresno.
  • After passing the California Bar Exam, he moved to Armenia where he spent over five years involved in various endeavors
  • He is also a financial advisor and a frequent contributor to the Fresno Bee on Armenian issues.
  • He is active in the Knights of Vartan, enjoys traveling the world and snow skiing.

Shaunt Yemenjian (Architect) - Vice Chairman

  • He earned his Bachelor of Science Degree in Urban Planning from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and his Master of Architecture Degree from the Southern California Institute of Architecture.
  • With over 12 years of experience in architecture and urban design, Shaunt has helped plan, design, and build several projects for California State University, Fresno, University of California, Community Redevelopment Agencies of Los Angeles, Pasadena, Highland Park, Glendale and Long Beach as well as several private commercial and residential development projects throughout California.
  • He is an active member of the American Institute of Architects, American Planning Association, United Stated Green Building Council, Holy Trinity Armenian Apostolic Church, Knights of Vartan, and attended the Armenian Community School of Fresno.

Christina Zakarian (Certified Public Accountant) - Treasurer

  • Born in Thousand Oaks, California.
  • Received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration – Accountancy Option from California State University, Fresno and minored in Armenian Studies.
  • Following graduation she earned her CPA and has been working at a local accounting firm for the past seven years, currently as their manager.
  • Attended the Armenian Community School of Fresno as a child.
  • She is married and loves to travel.

Karen DeOrian (Teacher) - Secretary

  • Born and raised in Fresno, California.
  • Received an Education Specialist Level II Credential and Masters of Arts in Special Education at California State University, Fresno.
  • She currently works for Fresno Unified School District, Department of Special Education and is responsible for leading professional learning in curriculum and instruction.
  • She teaches part-time at CSU, Fresno in the Special Education Credentialing Department.
  • She enjoys traveling and spending time with family, friends and her 2 dogs.

Marc Days (Attorney)

  • Marc Days received his undergraduate degree from the University of California at Berkeley, where he majored in Sociology.  In 1996, he graduated from the University of Virginia, School of Law, and became a member of the California State Bar.
  • In 2004, Marc accepted a position with the Fresno County Public Defender to advocate for one of the most fundamental civil rights, liberty.
  • In 2015, Marc left the Federal Defender and started private practice.

Hovig Devejian (Data Scientist)

  • Born and raised in Fresno, California.
  • Received a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science at California State University, Fresno.
  • He currently works for Granville Homes where he is the head of technology.
  • At Granville Homes, he is responsible for managing company-wide data, building geospatial databases and developing custom interactive software.
  • He is married, has two cats and enjoys a good game of backgammon.

Tatevos Manucharyan (Police Officer)

  • Born and raised in Yerevan, Armenia.
  • Graduated from the Stepan Shahumyan High School in Yerevan, Armenia.
  • After graduating from Fresno City College, he then graduated from the Fresno City Police Academy in 2002.
  • He has worked for the Fresno Police Department and currently works for the Fresno State University Police Department.
  • He is married and has 3 sons, one of whom is a CKACS graduate, and the other two have graduated from CKACS.
  • He is a member of the Fresno Judo Club, and enjoys practicing judo.

Natalie Shemmassian (Attorney)

  • Born and raised in Los Angeles in a strong Christian, Armenian environment, attending United Armenian Congregational Church, C & E Merdinian Armenian Evangelical School from preschool through junior high school, and finally Holy Martyrs Ferrahian High School.
  • She attended UCLA, graduating cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa in Political Science and Armenian Studies.
  • During college, she visited Armenia through Birthright Armenia, where she realized a strong need for reform of Armenia's judicial system. It was in Armenia that she received her final calling to the field of law.
  • She graduated from Suffolk University Law School in Boston, Massachusetts, on the Dean’s List with a distinction in Civil Litigation, and was admitted to the California Bar in January 2010.
  • Served for two years as an AmeriCorps attorney at the Massachusetts Fair Housing Center (MFHC) in Holyoke, and Community Legal Aid (CLA) in Northampton, Massachusetts.
  • In 2015, she and her family relocated Fresno, where they have embraced becoming “Fresnotsees.”
  • She has two sons, one of whom attends Charlie Keyan Armenian Community School as a Pre-K student.
  • She and her family are members of First Armenian Presbyterian Church.
